Louboutina is a celebrity golden retriever from Chelsea, New York City, who loves to hug people on the street. The adorable dog is so cute and loved that her Instagram page has over 58k followers!
The beautiful golden retriever, named after a French shoe designer, spends at least two hours a day hugging people she encounters on the street. Did we mention that golden retrievers are known for being friendly dogs?
“It’s just not a regular walk,” her owner, 45-year-old Fernandez-Chavez, says. “It’s a walk with hugging.” He adds: “A lot of people say she’s made their day… Like, if they had a bad day at work, maybe that’s just what they needed.”
Day in 2014, when Loubie started taking her owner’s hand after he had put an end to a relationship. “She started sitting up and grabbing my hands with both of her paws, and then crossing the other paw over her paw,” Fernandez-Chavez says. “I remember joking with my friends, ‘At least I have someone to hold hands with during Valentine’s.'”
And now Fernandez-Chavez realizes that not only him, but the entire world needs the warmth his dog has to offer, so you can send him an email and make a hug date with Louboutina if you happen to be in New York.
